There’s something deeply meaningful about working with wood. It begins as a tree standing tall in nature—a silent witness to time, weather, and life. Then, through the hands of a craftsman, it is transformed into something useful, beautiful, and lasting. In my workshop, every piece of furniture tells this story—a journey from forest to function.
Choosing the Right Wood
The journey starts with respect for nature. I carefully select each piece of wood from trusted, sustainable sources—mostly local, when possible. I look for wood with character: visible grain, natural imperfections, and strength. Whether it’s cedar, walnut, or oak, every board has potential. My role is to bring that potential to life.
Design Inspired by Nature
Before I even pick up a tool, I sketch. I imagine how the wood wants to exist in someone’s home—what form best suits its natural shape and what style suits the client’s needs. My designs are simple, functional, and warm. I believe good furniture should feel timeless, not trendy. It should feel like it belongs.
Crafting with Heart and Hands
The real magic happens in the workshop. I use a mix of traditional tools and modern techniques, but always with patience and intention. Each cut, joint, and finish is done by hand—no mass production, no shortcuts. I often say: “The wood leads, I follow.” It’s a relationship built on listening and experience.
Finishing with Purpose
Once a piece is built, the finishing touches are just as important. I use natural oils and eco-friendly finishes that bring out the richness of the wood without covering its natural story. The final result is smooth to the touch, rich in tone, and ready to become part of someone’s everyday life.
